Since 2012, siderweb – the steel community (managed by Siderweb SpA), has organized the Salone Made in Steel: a three-day convention and exhibition /exposition for everyone connected with the steel industry.
Made in Steel is a “Conference & Exhibition”: a perfect balance of business and reflection, networking and knowledge, a showroom and at the same time a cultural pole which, through conventions, forums and roundtables, aims to promote exchange and the lateral mobility of knowledge, indispensable elements for the competitiveness of enterprises.
Together with Baosteel Italia and Baosteel Tailor Blank, we attended the 8th edition (May 14, 15, 16, 2019) known as Steel human) as exhibitors of the Renault Master chassis underbody: for us a perfect example of collaboration between group companies, from the supply of the raw materials to the entire production of the vehicle’s structural parts.
This year’s edition was held at Fiera Milano, (Rho, Milan) and had 312 exhibitors from Italy and outside, confirming its status as an event of the first order for the sector.
It was an opportunity to meet the protagonists of the Italian and European steelmaking industry and exchange ideas with them in the meetings on the present and future scenarios for the sector. The discussions centered on the human factor as the crucial area for production and as the distinguishing element and source of strength for the future – a vision which we share in full and which we were able to elaborate in the various roundtables.
Steel on Stage was an illuminating event : 10 startups illustrated their innovative solutions for the steel industry, offering wider horizons for the sector.
And there was no lack of more technical events, to resolve the day-to-day problems of steel plants and update working methods, to mention some of these, maintenance of the cables in lifting equipment; new lamination machines; use of stainless steel in various sectors.
Attending this event was an opportunity we are pleased to have taken; it enabled us not only to exhibit with pride the fruits of our work and of the synergy between the companies in our group but also to take inspiration from the other participants, sharing our visions and experiences.
